Quality handcrafted quilts and wall hangings in a wide variety of sizes and colors are donated annually by area Mennonite and Amish churches, other supporting churches, individual quilters, and area quilt guilds. A Preview Night mini auction will take place Friday at 7 p.m. along with a Silent Auction of jewelry, gift certificates and other smaller items on Friday from 4:30-8:00 p.m. Auction by Robert Frey, licensed auctioneer, state of Ohio
Shop the Home and Garden area to find crafts, comforters, books, puzzles and more. And be sure to shop the food section for baked goods, trail bologna, cheese, Menno Tea and other food items.
Ten Thousand Villages
Ten Thousand Villages is a non-profit program of MCC that creates vital, fair market income for 30,000 artisans in 33 developing nations by marketing their crafts in the U.S. and Canada. Items for sale include baskets, figurines, jewelry, toys, rugs, wooden ware, tote bags and Christmas items.
A wide variety of children’s games, activities and entertainment will be offered during Black Swamp Benefit. Children can learn how a real auction works during the children’s auction at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. While some activities are pure fun, others help youngsters understand the importance of helping those in need.
My Coins Count
Bring your loose change and see how small contributions from many people add up to make a big difference in the lives of those in need. Collection jugs are available by calling 419-335-3763.
